Pastor Sarah Lindner grew up in a pastor's family in Washington State and accepted Christ when she was just 5 years old. When she was 15 years old, God called her into pastoral ministry.
Sarah graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Oregon in 2015 and began attending Portland Seminary in 2017 to receive her Master in Divinity. She started serving at Centennial Christian Center (one of Genesis' predecessors) in January 2015, and helped faciliated Centennial's merge with The Branch in January of 2018 which produced Genesis Community Church.
Her biggest passion is to help people experience God's transforming power in their lives through Scripture, prayer, and community. When she's not at the church or meeting with various people in the community, Sarah loves to be outdoors hiking, paddle boarding, or just enjoying the wonderful Oregon weather.
Jim & Karla Eschenbacher
Pastor Jim & Karla Eschenbacher's story began 33 years ago when Jim hired Karla to sing on an album project he was doing in memory of his wife who had died and left him with 3 young children. God joined their hearts and opened doors for them to serve as Music Pastors in Eugene. They served faithfully in this area of ministry until God spoke to Jim’s heart in 2010 to plant and Pastor “the branch.”
When looking for a place to meet God opened doors for them to rent space from Centennial Christian Center in 2015. At that time they had no idea that 2 years later God would join their hearts and vision to labor together as “Genesis Community Church.”
Their 3 children are now adults and have blessed them with 7 grandchildren.
In May 2018, the Eschenbacher's retired to Mesa, AZ but they stay involved with the Genesis family through visits and Pastor Jim's daily devotional journal.
