Genesis 6:7-8…So, the Lord said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the land, man and animals an creeping things, and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the lord.
Even in His anger and disgust with man, God showed grace toward Noah. This was just before the flood which God chose as His judgment to eliminate the evil of man from the earth. Most of us have heard the story of the flood. It was a flood of epic proportion; it covered the whole earth. The same God who planned that had grace in His heart and He extended it to Noah.
Just imagine how He must feel, now that Jesus has died for us, when humans ignore and even discredit His love. We have His word that He will not flood the earth again; but, He will destroy it with fire. But, even in that moment, he will preserve those who have found their place in Jesus. He will keep them safe from the expressions of his wrath. The end of the world will be a major event; without God’s protection, we will all be destroyed. We need to live our lives in Christ, which means we need to discover what that means. This blog is not a teaching format so I will not attempt that, but I pose the question so that anyone with the desire will search the scriptures and find the way to live in Christ.
As you face the end of all things; it is not important that you know me; it is important that you know God. We all want to receive the blessing of Noah, this person and that person have found grace in God’s eyes. We have found grace in God’s eyes in that we have been lifted from the path to destruction that we were on. Thank you, God.
When dealing with almighty power, as we are, don’t take anything for granted. Ask God for guidance. He, who can destroy you with a word, can save you with a word as well. We are helpless before Him. He knows that and offers to help. We beseech Him for favor. We request grace. We live by His words. Make every effort.
